IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

Responsible for the efficient distribution, management and optimization of your sales staff. This job involves coordination of equipment, personnel and budgetary resources to ensure that the sales team is equipped to meet goals and deadlines. The job also ensures that the sales team functions effectively, with the proper allocation of human resources, technology and financial resources, which allows efficient operation and enhancing general sales efficiency.

HOW CAN YOU EXPRESS YOUR TALENT

Resource Allocation & Planning:

  • Coordinate the distribution of resources (personnel tools, personnel, as well as financial resources) to various sales-related initiatives and projects.
  • Cooperate in conjunction with managers of sales to assure sales personnel have the required resources to reach the goals.
  • Check resource utilization and adjust allocations in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Workforce Planning:

  • Aid in planning, forecasting and planning the manpower needs based upon the pipeline for sales, workloads and anticipated sales activities.
  • Partner in conjunction with HR as well as other departmental departments in order to make sure the best talent is readily available for support functions related to sales.
  • Set up schedules and assignations of support personnel to ensure that support staff are available for crucial sales-related activities.

Budgeting & Cost Management:

  • Manage and monitor the budget for support to sales to ensure efficient utilization of resources.
  • Keep track of expenses associated with sales support tools, technologies and staff, and give reports to management regarding resource usage.
  • Recognize opportunities to lower cost and increase efficiency of resources without sacrificing quality sales support.

Tools & Technology Management:

  • Control the selection, implementation and improvement of sales tools, such as CRM platforms as well as reporting platforms and communication tools.
  • Check that all the equipment and systems utilized by sales support personnel are current, well-integrated, and effective in supporting sales processes.
  • Make sure that staff are trained on the proper use of tools for sales support and systems for enhancing productivity.

Performance Tracking & Reporting:

  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to measure the effectiveness and use of resources in the support department for sales.
  • Data-driven information to the senior management team to help in strategic planning and optimization of resources.
  • Determine areas where the allocation of resources can be improved in order to increase the overall efficiency of sales support.

Collaboration with sales teams:

  • Collaborate closely with business managers and sales development teams to assess their needs in terms of resources and offer timely assistance.
  • As a link to the sales support staff and different departments (e.g. Human Resources, Finance, IT) to ensure that operations run smoothly and availability of resources.
  • Facilitate collaboration and communication between teams to maximize resource use and project results.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Determine areas where process improvements could be made in resource management, and then implement adjustments to improve effectiveness.
  • Be aware of the latest industry best methods of resource management. Apply these to boost the sales support functions.
  • Take part in projects or lead them focused on improving resource allocation as well as reducing bottlenecks and improving efficiency of operations.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations, business, management, Human Resources, or related fields. A master’s degree is recommended.

Experience:

  • Experience in operations, resource management or project management with a focus on business or sales.

Technical Skill

  • Expertise in the tools for managing resources as well as project management software along with CRM and project management platforms.
  • Advanced Excel abilities and knowledge of reports tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Expertise in budget control and cost optimization strategies.

Soft Skills

  • Great multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working in teams.
  • Skills for problem-solving and critical thinking to optimize allocation of resources.
